Notes on Pharmacodynamics
Most receptor interactions occur on the order of microseconds, so attempting to model pharmacodynamics based on rate of subjective frame interruption may be impossible. Currently the only way to accurately model the perceptual effects of a new psychoactive molecule is to test it in various dose ranges and see what it does. For an exhaustive comparison of the differing effects of similar types of psychedelics, see “PiHKAL” and “TiHKAL” by Sasha and Anne Shulgin.
